When Taran Singh Brar was growing up he was inspired by lasers, the Apollo moon landings, and how someone figured out there is a black hole at the center of our galaxy. As a student at the University of California at Berkeley he met the scientist Charles Townes, who played a leading role all three. Charles asked Taran for car rides and Taran asked Charles if he could make a film on him, and history was born. This documentary featuring three Nobel-Prize winning physicists is over a decade in the making and represents the peak of human scientific achievement. It is framed lovingly through Charles’ 73-year marriage to his wife Frances and makes the science and technology accessible to everyone. It also features a discussion of his most reprinted idea on the convergence of science and religion.
